This diaphragm spring kit replaces the single-plate spring found in modern DDS clutch systems. These units provide consistent pressure across the entire friction surface. Heat and heavy abuse eventually cause the spring to lose its arched profile. This leads to clutch drag or slip. This kit restores the snap to your clutch engagement and is a direct swap for the OEM part. Ensure the spring is seated correctly in the retainer during your rebuild to prevent uneven wear on the pressure plate. It is a standard replacement for high-hour enduro and MX bikes.
