What it is

The K & N OIL FIL HONDA, motocross part. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.

A K&N internal filter element for Honda's smaller off-road and trail bikes, covering the CRF 250 L, CRF 300 L and the CB/CBR 300 platforms. It sits inside the engine cases and screens the grit and metal shavings thrown off during hard riding before they reach the crankshaft and cam journals. Renew it every time you drain the oil rather than stretching it across two changes. Do the cover bolts up evenly and to spec on reassembly; over-torquing them distorts the cover and invites a weep. Cheap insurance against a top-end you would rather not be paying for.
