This standard exhaust valve guide is a vital component for your Africa Twin top-end. It sits in the exhaust port, where it must endure the highest temperatures in the engine. The guide keeps the exhaust valve stem true to the seat. Worn guides cause the valve to move laterally, ruining the seal and the seat. Replace these during a head overhaul to restore factory tolerances. This part is designed for a standard press-fit. Ensure the inner bore is honed to the correct size for the valve stem.
