Bolt this to the back of an 85 small-wheel and you've got proper MaxxCross MX-ST bite for soft loam and churned-up intermediate. The lightweight carcass keeps unsprung weight down so the shock can actually work over braking bumps and rutted exits. Knobs are spaced for clean drive in sand and wet clay, and they clear themselves through the straight. Fit it with a 90/100-14 rear rim, decent levers and rim protectors — the bead is firm and will bite back if you rush it. NHS rated, so it stays on the track.
