Clutch springs lose their tension over time due to constant heat cycles and compression. Weak springs allow the friction plates to slip under load, even if the plates themselves have plenty of material left. These heavy-duty springs provide increased clamping pressure over the OEM parts. This reduces slip and improves power transfer to the rear wheel. Expect a slightly firmer pull at the lever. Always replace springs as a complete set to ensure even pressure across the pressure plate. Check your cable or hydraulic slave cylinder for smooth operation while the system is apart.
