Threads into the rear hub to lock the bearing against the internal spacer. Fits CR125R, CR250R and CR500R rear hubs. Pin-spanner drive notches round off if you go at them with a punch and a hammer — use the right tool. Clean the threads, smear of anti-seize, wind it in by hand before you put any bar on it. Bearing fully home first. A chewed retainer is the difference between a tight rear wheel and lateral play you can feel through the pegs. Standard fare on any Honda rear hub rebuild.
