What it is

The clutch perch clamps to 22mm bars and carries the lever pivot plus the inline cable adjuster. Chromed aluminium casting. It takes the hit when you go down, so a cracked or seized perch is a common after-crash replacement, as are stripped adjuster threads from over-tightening. Fits the Yamaha YZ and WR four-strokes through the early thumper years, the 250 F up to the 426 F and 450 F. Match your cable barrel to the receiver before fitting. A smear of waterproof grease on the pivot bolt keeps the lever swinging clean and saves the bore.
