Fork bushings are the wear surfaces inside your forks. Two per leg — one slider bushing on the inner tube, one guide bushing pressed into the outer. Teflon coating wears thin over hours, and the symptoms creep in: harsh small-bump compliance, vague turn-in, weeping seals that keep coming back. Replace them every time you split the forks. New seals on tired bushings is a wasted service. This kit is a direct OEM cross-reference for the DR-Z 400 SM and DR-Z4SM 400 ABS — sized for the Showa stanchions on those bikes. Use a proper bushing driver, and degrease the tubes before reassembly.
