These friction plates are a direct replacement for the worn units in your Kawasaki. They sit inside the clutch basket and provide the necessary grip to transfer power to the rear wheel. Heat is the main enemy, causing the material to glaze and lose its bite. If you experience RPM flare without a corresponding increase in speed, your plates need replacing. Soak the new plates in the correct weight gearbox oil before fitting. This ensures the material is lubricated from the first rotation, preventing premature wear.
