An in-line fuel filter with 1/4-inch inlet and outlet to suit standard lines on carburettor dirt bikes. It sits between tank and carb as a second defence behind the petcock mesh, trapping fine silt and rust before it reaches the jets. Blocked jets cause erratic idling and a lean stumble off the bottom, and this stops most of it. Fit it in a visible run so you can watch for sediment or water building up in the housing. Swap the filter when flow drops or muck shows inside. Cheap insurance against a strip-down on the bench.
