What it is

Moose Offroad replacement ignition cover gasket to fit the Yamaha YZ250, model years 1999–2024; Yamaha YZ250F, model year 2001; and Yamaha YZ250X, model years 2016–2024.

This part seals the left-hand side ignition housing against the engine cases. It protects the stator and flywheel from mud and water ingress during deep crossings or pressure washing. You should replace this whenever you remove the cover for timing adjustments or electrical diagnostics. It replaces OEM reference 5CU-15451-00-00. Proper alignment is vital to prevent weeping. Clean the casing faces with brake cleaner to ensure a tight bond. It is a standard service item for any serious workshop rebuild.
