Friction plates are the primary wear item in your clutch basket. Over time, heat and friction thin the material, leading to slip and reduced drive. These plates match OEM dimensions to maintain correct stack height and lever feel. Always soak new friction plates in fresh gearbox oil for at least four hours before installation. This prevents glazing on the first start. Check your steel plates for blueing or warping while the case is open. If the steels are burnt, replace the full set to ensure even engagement across the pack.
