Moose's bash plate for the KLX 250/300 family covers the sump, water pump, and lower frame rails — the bits that take the hit when you drop off a ledge onto a hidden rock. Bolts to existing chassis tabs, no drilling. The KLX runs a thin-walled sump casting and the pump cover sits low and proud, so an unprotected case is one stone strike from a trailside oil dump. Pull it for a wash after wet rides; trapped clay traps heat against the cases. Check the mounting bolts after the first hour of riding.
