Bolts under the WR250R/X to shield the cases, frame rails and exhaust header from rock strikes on dual-sport trails. The Yamaha twin's flat sump and exposed header are the obvious targets when you drop a wheel into a rut. Mounts to factory hardware points, no frame mods. Smooth underside lets the bike slide off ledges instead of hooking up. Check the front mount bolts after the first ride and again after any heavy landing. Pull it off occasionally to wash mud out and inspect the cases underneath.
