An aluminium skid plate for the Yamaha YZ 250/450 FX and WR 250/450 F. The alloy takes direct hits from rocks and stumps that would split a plastic guard, and shields the sump and water pump behind a rigid wall. Bolts to the frame rails with the supplied hardware. Seat the foam backing properly on fitting, it keeps mud out of the gap and quiets vibration through the frame. Built for technical trail and rally miles where the underside takes a beating. If a heavy strike deforms the plate badly, replace it.
