An aramid-composite bashplate for the 250 and 350 KTM and Husqvarna four-strokes; the SX-F, XC-F, FX, FC and the EXC-F/FE/XC-W enduro range. Aramid wraps the cases and frame rails and shrugs off impacts at well under the weight of an alloy plate, which the front end notices on a long enduro day. The fibre resists cracking and abrasion where metal would dent and hold the dent. Best suited to riders chasing weight on a competitive build. Check the underside for deep gouges now and then, since a hard strike can open up the layup.
