What it is

The Moose Offroad Skid Plate PHD 8mm W Linkage Guard KAWASAKI, motocross part. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.

PHD 8mm plate for the Kawasaki KX 250 and KX 250 X, with the linkage guard built in. The main plate takes the under-engine hits; the guard wraps the rear shock pivot and linkage, the spot rocks love to find on a hard landing. Plastic construction skates over obstacles rather than hooking on them. Bolts straight to the frame rails with the supplied hardware. Once it is on, cycle the rear suspension through full travel and confirm the linkage guard moves clean with no contact. Built for technical ground where casing the bike is a question of when, not if.
