This kit restores precise handling by replacing worn or notched bearings in the head tube. These components sit within the steering neck, supporting the weight of the front end while allowing smooth rotation. Constant impacts and pressure washing often lead to grease washout, resulting in rust or indexed steering that feels notched in the centre. Replacing these is a standard part of a chassis rebuild to eliminate front-end play. Ensure races are seated fully in the frame and use a high-pressure waterproof grease. Proper torque on the stem nut is critical to prevent premature wear or binding.
