What it is

The Moose Offroad STEERING STEM BEARING KIT, motocross part. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.

The steering stem pivot between frame and triple clamps takes every front-end load you put through the bars. Jet washing and hard landings drive grit into the races, and you start to feel a notch dead-ahead or a tight spot mid-turn. That's your cue. Tapered rollers and seals for both top and bottom, enough for a full head-tube overhaul. Seat the races square so nothing binds, pack the rollers with waterproof grease, and torque the stem to spec. Covers Honda CR125R, CR250R, CR500R and the XR650R.
