Stem bearings on a CRF go quiet first, then notchy. You won't get a warning light. You'll get a vague front end on corner entry, a bar that wants to centre itself off-throttle, and tank-slap hints over braking bumps. Pull the top clamp at the next service and check for indents at straight-ahead. That's where the balls have parked under braking load. This Moose kit gives you fresh tapered races top and bottom plus seals to keep wash water out. Pack them properly, torque the stem nut to spec, and re-check after the first moto. Job done for the season.
