What it is

Moose Offroad throttle cables to fit the Kawasaki KLX450R, model years 2008–2009, 2018–2019; Kawasaki KX250F, model years 2006–2010; and Kawasaki KX450F, model years 2006–2008.

A direct swap for the Kawasaki twist-grip cable, cross-referencing OEM 54012-0156, -0158, -0198 and -0265 across the KX 250 F, KX 450 F and KLX 450 R. Grit works past the seals and the liner wears, so the action turns gritty long before the cable actually snaps. That dragging feel is your cue to replace it. Barrel ends and routing match the original, so it drops straight into the throttle housing. Seat the barrel fully, check the free play at the bars, and look for fraying at both ends at every chain clean.
