The cable that ties the twist grip to the carb slide. On the old air-cooled YZ and IT singles, the original outers go stiff and the inner wire frays where it runs past the steering head, so snap-back gets lazy and the throttle starts to hang. This is a straight swap for the Yamaha part it replaces, cross-referencing 1W6-26311-01-00 and 2K8-26311-01-00. Route it clear of the frame and check free play at the perch before you kick it over. A clean cable gives you back a crisp shut on the gate.
