What it is

The Moose Offroad THROTTLE CABLES, motocross part. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.

A single-pull throttle cable for the YZ 250, replacing Yamaha's own 5HC-26311-00-00. The throttle cable lives a hard life on a two-stroke: roost, mud and wash-downs pack grit into the outer, the inner starts to drag, and your snap-back goes soft right when you need a clean chop into a corner. This is a direct OEM-spec fit, no trimming or splicing. Lube the inner on assembly, route it away from the bars at full lock, and set free play at the housing. Sharp throttle response is worth the ten-minute job.
