Steel over alu is the old-school call on a vintage CR front end. You pay for it in grams, but the trade is a spacer that shrugs off roost, fork-leg rub and the odd parking-lot drop without picking up gouges. Mounts between fork leg and hub on CR125R, CR250R and CR500R two-strokes, holding the axle square so your bearings sit true and the disc tracks the caliper. Slide it on, torque the axle, check wheel spin. Done. Keep your alu spacer in the spares tin for race day if you must shave weight.
