These front wheel spacers are made from steel to ensure long-term durability against seal friction. They are located on the front axle, maintaining the correct distance between the hub and the fork legs. On off-road bikes, the front hub is constantly exposed to water and grit. If the spacers are grooved, the seals will fail, allowing moisture to reach the bearings. These spacers are a direct replacement for the original units.
