What it is

The MOTION PRO CABLE THROTTLE, motocross part. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.

A replacement throttle cable that runs from the twist grip down to the carburettor on Kawasaki two-strokes. Covers a wide KDX and KX spread, from the KDX 175 through the KX 500. Cut to the factory routing and length, and a direct cross-reference for OEM 54012-1305. Grit and water work into the housing over a season and the inner wire drags, giving a heavy pull or a sticking throttle on technical ground. Lubricate the inner wire before you fit it for a clean action. Replace it as part of a seasonal service rather than waiting for it to snag mid-ride.
