What it is

The MOTION PRO CLUTCH CABLE, motocross part. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.

A Controls-section cable that runs from the clutch perch to the actuator arm on the engine casing. Made to Yamaha OEM 5XE-26335-00-00 spec for a clean drop-in on the YZ 125. The barrel ends fray and the inner wire stretches with time and grit, and a heavy lever pull is the giveaway that it has started binding inside the housing. Fit a fresh one and the feel comes back light and predictable. Route it on the factory path, off the exhaust and clear of kinks at full lock, then set free-play at the perch after the first ride.
