These pins secure your pads within the caliper body. Over time, the pad backing plates wear deep grooves into the pin surface. This causes the pads to hang up, leading to uneven wear and poor lever feel. Salt and grit also seize the threads or round off the internal hex. Replacing these during a pad change ensures smooth sliding action and consistent braking. Apply a small amount of anti-seize to the threads before installation. These are direct OEM replacements designed to match the factory dimensions of your bike.
