Bolt these in when the stock springs blow through their stroke on big hits. The 5.1 N/mm rate is built for the heaviest end of the 450 class — CRF 450 R, KX 450, RM-Z 450 — riders pushing hard through braking bumps, square-edge hits and big landings. Stock springs sag under that load. These hold the front end up where it should sit, keep geometry honest into corners and stop the forks packing down through whoops. Pair them with a proper sag setup and revised oil height. If you ride hard or sit at the heavier end of the scale, the stock kit is the limiting factor.
