What it is

The POLISPORT CLUTCH COVER PROTECTOR BLACK, motocross part. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.

A bolt-on plastic shield for the right-side clutch cover, built for the Kawasaki KX 450F. The four-stroke's case wall is thin where it matters and a square hit in the rocks cracks it. This shell takes the abrasion from roost, log strikes and the inside of your boot, keeping the casing oil-tight through a long moto. It clamps over the OEM cover on the factory bolts, so fitting is a five-minute job. Low enough profile that rear brake reach and boot position don't change. Cheap insurance against an expensive casing.
