What it is

The POLISPORT IGNITION COVER PROTECTOR GREEN, motocross part. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.

The ignition cover sits low on the left case, right in the firing line for rocks, ruts and boot scuff. This Polisport guard clamps over it and takes the hits the magneto casing would otherwise wear. Moulded to the contour of the KX 250 F left case, so it adds protection without pushing your knee out or fouling the shift side. Mounts to existing points, no drilling. On a four-stroke a cracked ignition cover means oil loss and a long walk back, so the guard earns its keep across a hard enduro or scrambles season.
