What it is

The rear shock flap sits behind the airbox and takes the roost the rear tyre throws straight at the shock. Without it, grit and stones score the shaft and chew the seals, and a scored shaft means a full suspension rebuild before long. It fits the Kawasaki KX 250 F and KX 450 F on the standard mounting points. A cheap part that protects an expensive one. The plastic goes brittle with age and UV, so check yours for thinning and cracks. On wet UK tracks and winter enduro it earns its keep. Inspect the mount holes for wear before you fit the new one.
