What it is

The POLISPORT REAR SHOCK FLAP BLACK, motocross part. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.

Sits behind the airbox and shields the rear shock and linkage from the roost the rear wheel throws straight up at them. Mud and grit work into the shock shaft and chew through the seals long before they should. This flap stops that. Moulded to clear the swingarm at full compression on the CRF 250 R and CRF 450 R, and bolts up to the factory mounting holes. The originals go brittle and split after a season of jet washing. Swap it when it cracks rather than waiting for the seal job that follows.
