What it is

The POLISPORT SPROCKET PROTECTOR BLACK, motocross part. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.

A front sprocket cover for the Honda and Yamaha range, covering the CRF 250/450, CR 250R and YZ 125 two-stroke. It armours the countershaft so a thrown chain meets plastic instead of cracking the engine case, and it keeps the worst of the mud off the front sprocket. Fits the existing case bolt holes, no modification. Black finish to blend with the cases. One of the cheapest parts on the bike to protect one of the most expensive, and it comes off in seconds when you service the chain.
