The red sprocket guard for the Honda CRF450 R and RWE. It shields the engine cases behind the front sprocket, stopping mud and stones from packing into the countershaft area on wet tracks. The cut-out lets you inspect the seal and rinse the drive without removing the part. A snapped chain bunches against the guard instead of the crankcase, which saves a far bigger repair. Mounts to the factory points with no trimming. Riders running heavy mud or technical terrain fit one as a matter of course, then forget it's there.
