Polisport's moulded guard caps the external water pump housing on the YZ 250 F and YZ 450 F. The OEM alloy cover is thin. One stray rock or a hard berm hit cracks it, and you lose coolant on the spot. This shell sits over the original casing and takes the impact for it. Boot heels scuff the plastic instead of scoring the metal. It bolts straight to the factory holes, so no machining and no spacers. The vented profile keeps heat moving off the pump. Cheap protection against a cooling failure that ends your moto early.
