Beta enduros cop it on long-day rides. Bog water past the axle on Welsh trails, deep ruts that hammer the wheel sideways, river crossings that flush grit straight into the seals. The rear hub takes the worst of it. Once water gets in, the grease washes out and the rollers start pitting. You'll hear a faint grumble on overrun, then chain tension going off as the wheel shifts under load. Swap the lot at the first sign — bearings, seals, spacers. Pack the new ones properly, tap them in square, and the back end stops feeling vague on the next ride.
