CRF 250/450 and RM-Z 250/450 wheels run hot at the rear. Catch a notchy bearing early: spin the wheel off the ground, listen for grumble, rock the rim side-to-side for play. Once the seal lip splits, grit gets in and the race pits within a meeting. Pack fresh grease, tap the new races square, torque the axle to spec.
