A clutch cable runs from your lever perch to the actuator arm on the cases. The inner strands fray with use, and grit packed inside the housing turns a light pull heavy. You feel it as vague, inconsistent engagement at the gate. ProX builds this one to factory length and stroke for the Honda CR 250 R, CR 500 R and Suzuki RM 125 and RM 250, so it drops in without modification. Route it clear of the header on install, work the bars through full lock to check for binding, then set free-play at the perch.
