What it is

The PROX WHEEL SPACER REAR KIT, motocross part. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.

Rear wheel spacers locate the hub in the swingarm and give the seal lips a surface to ride on. Mud and pressure-washer hits cut a groove into that surface. Once it's grooved, the seal can't keep water out, and the hub bearings are next. ProX machines these to OE tolerances for KTM, Husqvarna and Gas Gas rear ends, so the axle pulls up square and the seal sits true. Pull the wheel at every tyre change and check the spacer ODs with a fingernail. Smear waterproof grease on the seal contact face before reassembly.
