Renthal's Moto guard is a roost shield, not a full wrap-around. It bolts straight to the lever perches and sits clear of the bar end, so your hand leaves the controls cleanly when you bail. That open layout is why most MX riders run this style over enclosed handguards on the gate. There's no aluminium spine, so it won't save a lever in a heavy lay-down, but it stops stones and mud all day. Check your master cylinder has the perch points to take the mount. Replace once the shell is pitted or an arm snaps.
