What it is

The RENTHAL RENTHAL TWINWALL 999 PURPLE, handlebars. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.

The Twinwall runs a tube inside a tube: an inner 7/8" sleeve bonded within an outer 1-1/8" wall. The double skin holds its shape through heavy landings and crash impacts that fold a single-walled bar. Clamps at 28.6mm, so you need oversized triple-clamp mounts. The 999 is a higher, wider bend favoured for technical enduro and big hits. Moving up from standard 22mm mounts means new bar clamps and a check that your throttle tube and perches slide clean on the new diameter. Race-shop default for riders who break bars.
