What it is

The SCAR ALUMINUM THROTTLE TUBE & BEARING RED, motocross part. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.

Machined from billet aluminium to replace the stock plastic tube that splits in a crash. An integrated bearing at the bar end kills friction, so the throttle returns clean every time and never binds when the bars take a knock. The knurled body grips your right-hand grip and glue properly. Fits Honda CRF 250 R, RX and X, plus the CRF 450 R, RX, X, L and RL. Clean the bar and clear old adhesive before fitting, then cycle the throttle through full steering lock to check the cable runs free.
