What it is

The SCAR RUBBER KILLER BLUE, bar mounts. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.

The rubber cones in a KX triple clamp give a little vibration relief and a lot of bar twist. After a hard tip-over they tend to stay twisted. These machined aluminium replacements swap that compliance for a solid mount between bars and forks. Steering feel sharpens up and the bars stay where you put them. It's a standard fix on KX 250 and KX 450 machines run on hardpack or supermoto, where direct front-end feedback matters more than soaking up trail buzz. Press the old rubber out and fit these on your next fork service.
