Front tube wipers for 45mm forks. These sit above the oil seals and scrape road grit, mud and brake dust off the stanchions every time the fork compresses. Job's simple but the consequence isn't. Let a knackered dust seal keep working and that grit ends up chewing the oil seal underneath, then you're chasing a fork rebuild instead of a 20-minute seal swap. Replace them in pairs with the matching 45x57x11 oil seal. Different parts, different jobs, same lifespan. Pull the fork leg, slide the old seals off the stanchion, check the tube for pitting before the new ones go on. If the chrome's scored, no seal on the planet will hold.
