This packing sits inside the cartridge assembly, doing the quiet work of keeping fluid where it should be while the damping piston cycles through its stroke. Honda CRF250R, Kawasaki KX250F, Suzuki RM-Z250 and RM-Z450 riders running the factory Showa unit, this is your part. Buy it with your seal kit when you're stripping forks at the start of the season, or when you've pulled the cartridge for a damping rebuild and noticed the old packing has gone hard.
