Heat and constant cycling eventually cause these to sack out. Once they lose their tension, your clutch will slip under load, even if your plates are fresh. These sit behind the pressure plate and provide the clamping force needed to transfer power to the gearbox. Replace them during every plate change to maintain a consistent lever feel. Use a criss-cross pattern when tightening the bolts to ensure even pressure across the pack. These are manufactured to match OEM specifications for a direct fitment on your bike.
