Steel plates sit between the friction discs and are prone to warping or discolouration when the clutch gets hot. Check your old plates for blueing or grooving. If they are not perfectly flat, they will cause the clutch to drag or make finding neutral difficult. These replacements are built to tight tolerances to ensure smooth engagement. Always check the stack height against your workshop manual when rebuilding the pack. These are a direct swap for the original components in your bike transmission.
