What it is

The VERTEX ENGINE BOTTOM END HONDA REBUILD KIT, motocross part. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.

The CR 500 R's bottom end takes a beating few two-strokes match: 500cc of torque hammering the big end on every stroke. Vertex packs the complete lower rebuild into one kit, with crank, main bearings, plus the gaskets and seals the case split needs. Worth doing at the first sign of big-end play rather than after. A let-go crank on a 500 usually takes the cases with it. With new seals and correctly seated mains, the rebuilt bottom end will outlast several top ends.
