What it is

The VERTEX ENGINE BOTTOM END KAWASAKI REBUILD KIT, motocross part. Stocked by Iron Offroad, the UK MX hard parts specialist.

Vertex's bottom-end kit for the KX 85, covering both the 17/14 small-wheel and 19/16 big-wheel versions. One box for a full case-split: crankshaft, main bearings and the gasket set to close it all back up. The trigger is vertical play at the small end or a rumble from the mains at idle. Small-bore two-strokes rev hard and the KX85 gets raced hard, so bottom ends wear faster than owners expect. Sourcing crank, mains and seals separately invites mismatched tolerances. This kit removes that problem.
